![]() ![]() Unfortunately I don't think we ever will. So, is it the Xbox series consoles or is it the firmware? These questions are still up in the air and we do not have answers for them yet. Whether or not this was just a coincidence, it seems to only be happening on xbox series consoles. So, I decided to test that theory and I use them on my Xbox One X for a week and I did not have any type of ticking sound. Let's just say that they believe that this is not an issue with their headphones but with the Xbox series consoles. I have had numerous talks to Astro customer service about this issue. This is when I noticed the ticking staticky interference and the sound that comes and goes periodically. I initially bought these headphones for the Xbox series X. ![]() I want to give an update of what I feel is necessary. So I am the original poster to this thread. ![]() I am just wondering if there is anybody out there that has had the same problem and if anyone has found a solution to this? I cannot return the headphones because of covid-19. My other headphones (Platronics Rig800HD) and every other set of headphones I've ever owned. You would think after spending $450 on a set of headphones up there shouldn't be any interference like this. It's not very loud but it is noticable and quite annoying considering I am an audiophile. Now about every 2 minutes there is a soft staticy, ticking noise coming from the headset. I had fibre optic headphones before but because the new systems don't have a fibre optic output, I was forced to buy a new pair that were what they call "Xbox Certified".Īfter updating the firmware using the Astro Software directly from their site, this allowed me to plug the headphones in using usb on the series x. So I recently got a new set of A50 headphones to use on my Xbox series X. ![]()
